2025 Training

The Capacity Building Training for Social Work Agencies (SWAs) on the Implementation of Adoption and Alternative Child Care (AACC) Programs and Services is a specialized program aimed at strengthening the knowledge, skills, and competencies of Registered Social Workers and key stakeholders involved in child placement. It focuses on enhancing the capacity of SWAs to deliver effective, ethical, and child-centered adoption and alternative child care services.

Social work case management, one of the primary methods in social work practice, is considered to be the foundation of the other methods of social work practice. It is primarily concerned with the restoration and rehabilitation of impaired social functioning of individuals. This training is intended to enhance the competencies of Social Welfare Assistants who are Registered Social Workers and functions as case managers, and Social Welfare Officer I and II of the Local Government Units and the Centers/Residential Care Facilities of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, who are frontliners of social work case management. This training strengthens the foundational knowledge, skills and attitudes learned by the social workers in their undergraduate studies.

The CGS Conference is designed to enhance the capabilities of DSWD’s Core Group of Specialists, who serve as vital technical assistance providers across various sectoral and functional areas of social welfare and development.

This training enhances the competencies of pre-marriage counselors at the Local Government Units in conducting the Pre-marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC) Program.

A Foundational Course for the Regional Inspectorate Committees of the DSWD who are in charge of ensuring the valid accreditation status of the Centers and Residential Care Facilities within their respective regions through the provision of technical assistance during the conduct of pre-assessment activities, along the areas of Administration and Organization, Program Management, Case Management, Helping Interventions, and Physical Structure and Safety.

This training enhances the competencies of pre-marriage counselors at the Local Government Units in conducting the Pre-marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC) Program.

This Level 2 training enhances paraprofessionals' skills in client assessment and intervention, addressing the social worker shortage. Participants learn advanced communication, needs identification, assessment models, and intervention planning for improved client support.
